Focus of the course: This workshop will assist those with some background in Schema Therapy in developing and fine-tuning their skills. The workshop will also specifically look at the implementation of treatment for Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD) as well as Narcissism. Participants will have extensive opportunity to practice experiential exercises such as imagery and chair work. Time will be allocated to troubleshoot commonly experienced difficulties such as working with the detached protector and parent modes.
This workshop can be used as the second and final workshop for the purpose of accreditation as a Certified Schema Therapist (for more information on our ISST accredited training program see www.schematherapytraining.com)
Places are strictly limited to allow for better supervised practice and feedback. We expect this workshop to reach full capacity so please book early to avoid disappointment. Workshops frequently sell out due to the small size of the workshops.

Presenter Bio:
Chris Hayes- Senior Clinical Psychologist, Accredited Advanced Schema Therapist, Director Schema Therapy Training Australia
Chris has had extensive experience in both government and private settings working with clients with complex psychological presentations. Chris completed advanced certification in schema therapy at the Schema Therapy Institute in New York City (USA), and was trained directly by Dr Jeffery Young. He now shares his time working as a Clinical Psychologist, at both public and private settings. He is currently employed with the Health Department of Western Australia as a Senior Clinical Psychologist (within a specialist service working with those who have experienced recent or childhood trauma). He is currently serving as Secretary of the Board for the International Society of Schema Therapy.

Chris is a Clinical Psychologist and accredited schema therapist, trainer and supervisor who lives in Perth, Australia. Chris is experienced in delivering schema therapy in the Public Government Sector to individuals with a range of Personality Disorders, particularly Borderline Personality Disorder, Trauma and chronic Axis 1 disorders. Chris currently coordinates a comprehensive Dialectical Behaviour Therapy treatment Program in Western Australia.
